2 min read June 2023 — Research has officially begun on the third edition of Capital Analytics’ Invest: San Antonio report, which will look to gather the insights of leaders within both the public and private spheres in the region. This year’s publication will look to analyze the region’s critical areas of opportunity, economic diversification, sustainable growth and resiliency.

In addition, the publication will cover San Antonio’s prevalent challenges and how the business community is working together with its local and regional leadership to tackle them.

Traditionally associated with rich culture and a strong military presence, the region has taken great strides to consolidate the strength of key, high-growth industries such as aerospace, bioscience, technology, financial services and cybersecurity. The city’s Ready To Work Initiative, the largest workforce development program in the country, is supporting those old and new businesses with the talent they need to thrive during this economic period. That growing element of new businesses and workforce requires an increase in housing options, which also adds a boost to the local real estate and construction industries.

The demand for infrastructure and development remains high, most notably with the $2.5 billion expansion project for the San Antonio International Airport. The airport expansion is scheduled to include new gates, a facility for boarding aircraft directly from the tarmac, a transportation center and parking garage, as well as runway and pavement improvements.

“San Antonio continues to show that it is poised for continued growth and success even in times of economic uncertainty. With the pro-business landscape, diverse economy and not to mention, the lovely climate, the region will continue its upward trajectory. We are excited to take a closer look at the region and see what’s to come,” said Abby Melone, president and CEO of media platform Capital Analytics, which publishes the annual report.

Distributed locally, nationally and globally, Invest: San Antonio 2023-2024 is the latest comprehensive business report to holistically assess the economy of the region. 70% of the company’s nearly two million global readers are senior executives who rely on in-depth business intelligence to make informed decisions within industries that range from healthcare and life sciences to education and from energy to advanced manufacturing.

The team at Capital Analytics is excited to continue their research on the region with another thorough report and to continue to spearhead efforts to highlight the growth of the Greater San Antonio region.

The production of Invest: San Antonio 2023-2024 is officially underway as the Capital Analytics team connects with key contributors to collect their insights into the local region. Invest: San Antonio is a unique opportunity for the local business community to tell the world, in its own words, why the region is such a dynamic place to do business.
