Invest: Houston inaugural launch to highlight healthcare, education, and energy

August 2024 — The importance of the Houston region is indisputable, not only for being the fourth largest city in the country, but for its 2023 FT-Nikkel ranking position as the top best U.S. city for foreign multinational business.
Capital Analytics is thrilled to announce the very first Invest:Houston launch conference, where industry and community leaders will have the opportunity to discuss the region’s business climate and the path that led Houston to become one of the top locations in the tech sector.
It will take place on September 12, from 8 am to 12 pm at the JW Marriott Houston by The Galleria. Our panelists will give their insights on how Houston is using advanced technologies and new models to improve healthcare efficiency; educational improvement through policy, technology and community involvement; and finally the trends and technologies that are guiding Houston’s journey toward sustainability and resilience.
Check-in for the conference will begin at 8 am in conjunction with light breakfast networking. The event will start at 9 am with opening keynote speaker Jeff Wagner, mayor of City of Pasadena, followed by three panel discussions about healthcare, education and sustainability.
The first panel, Revolutionizing Healthcare: How Houston is adopting cutting-edge technologies and transformative models of care for improved efficiencies and better outcomes, will be moderated by Abby Lindberg, CEO of Capital Analytics. Panelists will include Jamie Bailey, EVP & CFO at UTMB Health System; Rodgers Wilson, National Medical Executive for Behavioral Health at Evernorth from Cigna Healthcare; and William McKeon, president and CEO of Texas Medical Center.
The second panel, Education Reform: Pathways to access and quality learning experiences through policy, technology, and community engagement, will be moderated by Matthew Neighbors, superintendent at Galveston ISD, and includes speakers Dr. Alisa White, president of Sam Houston State University; Col. Michael Fossum, vice president at Texas A&M University, COO at Texas A&M University at Galveston, and superintendent at Texas A&M Maritime Academy; and Bob Keith, dean of the Cameron School of Business at the University of St. Thomas.
The final panel, Filling the Sustainability Gap: Trends and technologies shaping Houston’s path toward sustainability and resilience, will be moderated by Cody Cannon, Houston market co-president at Vantage Bank. Speakers for this panel include Ken Bullock, partner-in-Charge of Houston at Frost Brown Todd; Takajiro Ishikawa, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America; and Ryan Ezell, CEO of Flotek Industries.
Hundreds of high-level executives and officials from the region are expected to attend our first annual conference for the Houston market.
