Invest: Miami 10th Anniversary summit to highlight city’s decade of growth, strategies to maintain momentum
May 2025 — Miami’s business and community leaders will convene at the Invest: Miami 10th Anniversary Edition Leadership Summit on Thursday, June 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Mr. C Coconut Grove Hotel. The networking and panel event marks the launch of the 10th anniversary edition of caa’s comprehensive report on Miami’s key industries.
The conference will bring together top industry and community leaders to discuss the city’s dynamic startup environment, competition with other markets, and corporate growth strategies. The event connects key stakeholders across new and traditional industries to address the primary issues facing the broader Miami community.

Registration starts at 8:00 AM, followed by an hour-long networking session accompanied by a full breakfast.
The first panel, “Magic decade: Examining Miami and South Florida’s stellar decade of growth, and the work needed to maintain momentum,” will feature John Owens, shareholder of Greenberg Traurig, Mayor Alix Deslume of the City of North Miami, Monica Vazquez, general manager and EVP of ABANCA USA, Yesenia Sanchez, market president for Cigna in South Florida and the Caribbean, and Jimmy Tate, CEO of Tate Capital. The panel will be presented by Athalie Edwards, Executive Director of Virginia Key Beach Park Trust.
The second panel, “Tracking progress: How traditional industries are competing in a new Miami — and supporting the communities they serve” will include Leigh Anne Lanier, market president for Verizon’s Consumer Group Atlantic South Market, Joshua Rader, managing partner at Citrin Cooperman Metro Miami, Jeff Watts, chief banking officer of Valley Bank, and Jennifer Perez, Partner of Shutts & Bowen LLP. Scott Brandman, managing partner for Miami and New York at Baker McKenzie, will moderate the panel.
The third and final panel, “Empowering entrepreneurs: How Miami is staying ahead of the competition in fostering a dynamic — and sustainable — startup environment” will feature Paul Pavlou, dean at University of Miami Patti and Allan Herbert Business School, Paul Gabriele, partner at EisnerAmper, and a City National Bank executive. More than 150 high-level guests and officials from across Miami-Dade county are expected to attend the in-person summit.
