Invest: Nashville conference to highlight Middle Tennessee as an economic force

May 2024 — Nashville and Middle Tennessee has emerged as one of the country’s fastest-growing economies due to its business climate, affordability, and diverse communities. 

At the official Invest: Nashville 2023-2024 Launch Conference, the sustainability and growth of Middle Tennessee, the synergy of the education and healthcare sectors, and the impact of digital transformation on the banking and finance industry will be among the various themes and topics covered during the networking and panel event. Taking place on Tuesday, June 18 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Bridgestone Arena, the event will also mark the official release of Capital Analytics’ third edition of Invest: Nashville.

During the launch conference, local industry and community leaders will come together to discuss the region’s business climate, how they are leveraging its inherent economic strengths to ensure long-term prosperity for all and what the future may look like. The event will feature three panel discussions that will center on economic trends shaping Nashville’s business community, initiatives to address regional education and healthcare needs, and infrastructure and development projects in Middle Tennessee aimed to promote economic growth.

Check-in at the conference will begin at 8 a.m. in conjunction with a breakfast and network session. Lindenberg will offer opening remarks at 9 a.m., followed by our three robust panel discussions.

The opening panel, titled “Future Ready: How promoting a symbiotic healthcare-education relationship positions the Middle Tennessee economy to meet emerging trends,” will be moderated by Melanie Thomas, chief information officer for Nashville General Hospital and include Greg Jones, president of Belmont University, and David Lewis, CEO of the Surgical Clinic as panelists. George Crawford, executive committee member for Butler Snow, will serve as the panel presenter.

The second panel, “Prosperity Pathway: Development opportunities across Middle Tennessee and the strategies needed to ensure sustainable, equitable growth,” will feature John Vardaman, business unit leader at DPR Construction, Paul Lawson, vice president and general manager at Turner Construction, and Elizabeth Goodwin, senior managing director and Tennessee market leader for CBRE.

The third and final panel of the program, “Tailor Made: The trends and technologies driving innovation in banking and finance and why they matter for both businesses and individuals,” will be moderated by Joyce Heames, dean of Jennings A. Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University. Paul Allen, president of Wealth Strategies Partners, Bradford Vieira, EVP and Regional CEO of ServisFirst Bank, and Truist Regional President Johnny Moore will be speaking on the panel.
