January 2025 — Tampa Bay’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) landscape continues to play a pivotal role in the region’s economic growth, attracting attention from investors, businesses, and financial professionals alike. The inaugural Tampa Bay Dealmaker Forum, set for Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, aims to provide a platform for industry leaders to discuss key financial transactions that have shaped the local market over the past year.
The event, hosted at the John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Tampa, will feature a panel discussion moderated by Abby Lindenberg, CEO of caa. The forum will highlight notable M&A activity from 2024 and offer insights into the region’s financial outlook for 2025.
“I’m looking forward to moderating this upcoming panel discussion on M&A activity that’s shaping the future of Tampa Bay. As a business owner, it’s imperative that we know not just what’s happening within our company but also the movement and transactions changing the broader business landscape,” said Lindenberg.
The forum will provide a platform for sharing insights into the deals that shaped Tampa Bay’s financial landscape in 2024, including industry leaders such as Luke Horanski, vice president at Hyde Park Capital; Nicolas Kodati, vice president at Star Mountain Capital; Kurt Frahn, CFO of Homee; Marc Baumann, senior vice president of Business Banking at DFCU Financial; and John “Jay” Rogers, CEO and co-founder of Haddy. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of key market trends and engage with leaders who have played an integral role in the region’s financial transactions.
In addition to industry insights, the forum will feature in-depth presentations by University of Tampa finance students, offering a data-driven analysis of notable deals and their broader economic implications.
Silvana Capaldi, founder and president of Ispirare Group, emphasized the significance of the event in fostering collaboration and driving future opportunities within the financial sector. “We are excited about spotlighting M&A deals in the Tampa Bay area. The Dealmaker Forum will serve as a platform for sharing knowledge, cultivating relationships, and uncovering opportunities for growth,” Capaldi said.
Networking will also play a key role throughout the event, with finance professionals, business leaders, and aspiring dealmakers coming together to exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations. As the region continues to experience steady economic growth, the forum aims to provide valuable insights into what lies ahead for Tampa Bay’s financial ecosystem.
The Dealmaker Forum will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Click here to register and secure your place at this important event.
