Invest: Tampa Bay Launch Conference to highlight smart growth, innovative care and the financial future

2 min read October 2023 — Smart growth, the financial landscape and healthcare innovation  will be central themes at the official Invest: Tampa Bay Launch Conference. The event, which will take place on Nov. 1 from 2pm to 5pm at The Shanna And Bryan Glazer JCC, will celebrate the official release of Capital Analytics’ fifth anniversary edition of Invest: Tampa Bay.

During the launch of Invest: Tampa Bay 2022-2023, local industry and community leaders will come together to discuss the region’s business climate, how they are leveraging its inherent economic strengths to ensure long-term prosperity for all and what the future may look like. The event will feature three panel discussions that will center on real estate and infrastructure development, the financial landscape and the innovative healthcare industry in the region. 

“We are looking forward to celebrating the release of our fifth anniversary edition of Invest: Tampa Bay, live and in person, to showcase the leaders adding to the region’s long-standing reputation for community and collaboration,” Capital Analytics’ President and CEO Abby Melone said. “Few companies deliver the in-depth business analysis we do for the markets we cover, including Tampa Bay. We are proud to present the region’s unparalleled potential in our annual report.

Check-in at the conference will begin at 2pm with Melone providing opening remarks at 3pm. This will be succeeded by three robust panel discussions focusing on the financial environment, smart growth and innovative healthcare. At the conclusion of the presentations there will be a cocktail networking hour. 

The panel ‘Financially Sound: Evaluating how the last five years have changed the financial landscape and what’s to come’, will include Paul Allen, president of Wealth Strategies Partners; Sean Simpson, division CEO of Synovus; and Damon Moorer, president and CEO of TCM Bank. The panel will be moderated by Abby Melone.

‘Smart Growth: The developments, projects and actions that have, and will continue, to shape Tampa Bay’, will feature Florida president for Duke Energy Melissa Seixas; Dave Bevirt, EVP for Strategic Property Partners, as well as additional participants to be announced. 

Phillip Dingle, managing partner of HealthEdge Investment Partners will be the moderator for ‘Innovative Care: Why Tampa Bay will remain a renowned national hub for healthcare innovation’. The panel will feature Andrew Molosky, president and CEO of Chapters Health System; John Couris, president and CEO of Tampa General Hospital, as well as additional panelists to be announced.

Hundreds of high-level guests and officials from across the Greater Tampa Bay area are expected to attend the in-person conference.
