3 min read April 2024 — Springtime in The Palm Beaches is more than just a change in weather; it’s a vibrant awakening of creativity and culture. And as the sun warms the sandy shores and the scent of blooming flowers fills the air, the local arts and culture scene thrives. 

Music festivals, art exhibitions, and other cultural events account for more than $300 million in annual economic activity in Palm Beach County. According to the latest report from nonprofit Americans for the Arts, the county’s arts and culture events were also responsible for over 4,000 jobs, as cited by WLRN.

Below are some notable venues and upcoming events to check out in The Palm Beaches’ this spring.

62nd Annual Delray Affair

The 62nd Annual Delray Affair unfurls its vibrant canvas along the streets of Downtown Delray Beach, transforming the city into a pulsating hub of creativity and culture. Described as the “Greatest Show under the Delray Sun,” this arts and crafts festival is one of the largest in the Southeastern region of the U.S. Picture fine art, great crafts, and funky products stretching across 10 city blocks. Over 90 artist studios from across the U.S. converge at this annual event. The festival is being held from April 12 to April 14.

SunFest 2024

The iconic waterfront music and art festival in West Palm Beach is gearing up for its 40th anniversary celebration from May 3 to May 5. This milestone event promises a dynamic fusion of music, art, and community spirit. With a vibrant lineup featuring artists like Cole Swindell, Nelly, and Third Eye Blind, SunFest invites attendees to immerse themselves in creative euphoria along the scenic Intracoastal Waterway. Beyond entertainment, SunFest is committed to its nonprofit status and community focus, making it a powerful force for positive change.

The Wick Theatre & Costume Museum Season 10

Nestled in Boca Raton, Florida is a vibrant arts space that seamlessly blends the magic of Broadway with the allure of exquisite costumes. Upcoming shows promise an enchanting experience for theater enthusiasts, including “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story” from April 11 through May 5, “Too Marvelous for Words: the Music of Johnny Mercer” from April 21 through April 30, and “I’ve Heard that Song Before!” from May 12 through May 21.
