Invest: Houston gears up for second edition, focusing on economic strengths and future vision

January 2025 — The Invest: series of annual reports is setting its sights back on Texas, with research starting for Invest: Houston 2nd Edition, covering the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land MSA and outlying counties of the greater Houston region.
Invest: Houston is a comprehensive business overview analyzing the key opportunities and challenges within Texas’ second most populous region. The analysis of the area will showcase the insights of the region’s top public and private sector leaders.
America’s most diverse city includes a number of key industries, including aerospace and aviation, advanced manufacturing, transportation and logistics, energy – of which it is home to 44 of the country’s 113 publicly-traded energy companies, to life sciences and biotechnology, corporate headquarters, and digital technologies. The region’s pro-business environment has made its private sector nationally competitive, while ongoing investments and innovation continue to pave the path for the future. There are, however, challenges that threaten the area’s growth, namely housing affordability and cost of living, with public officials and business leaders collaborating to address these pressing issues.
“We’re overjoyed as to our reception in Texas thus far and are excited to be able to continue to highlight the state’s growth, particularly in a market as vibrant as Houston. With new businesses and families relocating here, and a continuous influx of capital fueling growth, the region is poised to continue its trajectory of growth. Invest: Houston 2nd Edition will serve as the most comprehensive resource for the local business community, external investors and expanding businesses,” said Abby Lindenberg, president and CEO of caa.
Distributed locally, nationally and globally, Invest: Houston is the first comprehensive business report to holistically assess the economy of the region. Of the company’s nearly two million global readers, 70% are senior executives who use in-depth business intelligence to make informed business decisions within industries that range from health and life sciences to education and from energy to advanced manufacturing.
The production of Invest: Houston 2nd Edition is officially underway as the caa team connects with key contributors to collect their insights into the local region. Invest: Houston is a unique opportunity for the local business community to tell the world, in its own words, why the region is such a dynamic place to do business.
