Gavin Keirans, CEO, Blue Stream Fiber
Invest: interview with Gavin Keirans, CEO of Blue Stream Fiber.
What drew Blue Stream Fiber and your team to Houston specifically, and what early signals are you seeing from HOAs and developers there?
Houston was a natural first step for Blue Stream Fiber outside Florida. It is one of the fastest-growing, most dynamic markets in the country, with strong residential development, major master-planned communities, and a clear need for more reliable, community-focused connectivity options.
What attracted us most was the alignment between Houston’s growth and our model. Over the last 45-plus years, we’ve grown to serve communities, HOAs, COAs, apartments, builders, and developers, and we saw an opportunity to bring that same partnership-driven approach to Texas. Rather than acting like a traditional utility provider, we work directly with communities to design solutions that improve the resident experience, support property values, and create long-term value.
Developers and HOAs are looking for more than speed; they want accountability, reliability, clear communication, and a partner that understands how communities operate. That is where Blue Stream Fiber continues to win.
How is Blue Stream Fiber structuring its leadership to maintain service quality as you scale in new markets?
As we expand, we are being intentional about pairing national-level experience with local market leadership. We have built a leadership team with deep operating, customer experience, construction, engineering, and partnership expertise, while also adding dedicated Texas leadership to stay close to the communities we serve.
For us, scale cannot come at the expense of service. That is why we have invested in a Customer Experience Excellence focus, U.S.-based support, dedicated project and customer teams, and proven onboarding processes for new communities. The goal is to make growth consistent, scalable, and predictable, not just for Blue Stream Fiber, but for the HOAs, developers, property managers, and residents who depend on us.
How does Blue Stream Fiber’s community-focused model differentiate you there, and what makes Texas a strategic priority alongside Florida?
Texas is competitive, but that is exactly why our model matters. We are not trying to compete on traditional broadband service, speed, or price. We differentiate by being a true community partner by investing in infrastructure, creating tailored plans for each property, supporting smooth installations, and staying accountable after launch.
In Florida, we’ve built our reputation across hundreds of communities and proved that a high-touch, community-first broadband model works. Texas is the next strategic growth market because the same needs exist there: fast-growing communities, sophisticated developers, and residents who truly deserve better.
