46th Annual Día De Los Muertos Exhibit “Altares Y Ofrendas”

Join Centro Cultural Aztlan this season as they proudly present their 46th annual Día de los Muertos exhibition, “Altares y Ofrendas” through Nov. 8. This vibrant event brings to life the artistic, cultural and religious aspects of the cherished Mexican tradition. Experience an immersive in-gallery experience, exploring rich cultural traditions, historical insights and artistic expression. The exhibition features altars by local artists and the “Callejon de los Muertos,” an artisan market, showcasing some of San Antonio’s most renowned artists and makers.

Lightscape at The San Antonio Botanical Garden

Get ready for a captivating experience as Lightscape brings its enchanted display of over one million lights back to the San Antonio Botanical Garden on Nov. 17. Celebrating its third year, it will feature new global installations along a 1-mile trail. Last year the attraction had multiple sold-out nights, so securing your ticket early is highly recommended. General admission starts at $28 for adults and $18 for children, with member discounts and walk-up ticket options available.

Rotary Ice Skating Rink

Embrace the holiday cheer as the Rotary Ice Rink makes its return to Travis Park in downtown San Antonio. The rink will open its door on the Friday before Thanksgiving and remain as a hub for winter fun daily through mid-January. General admission is priced at $15. Glide into the season and create lasting holiday memories at this cherished venue.

Ford Holiday River Parade and River Lighting Ceremony 2023

Get into the holiday spirit with the 42nd annual Ford Holiday River Parade and River Lighting Ceremony, a cherished San Antonio tradition. With the theme “Holiday Stories,” the parade on Nov. 24, will feature 28 illuminated floats and over 100,000 lights adorning the River Walk, transforming the city into a winter wonderland. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a special appearance, continuing a beloved tradition. Tickets range from $12.50 to $40, with free viewing areas available.

Mercado De Paz

Join the festive spirit at Mercado De Paz, Esperanza’s annual International Peace Market, on  Nov. 26 and 27. This unique shopping experience spans two floors of the Esperanza Center and overflows onto Evergreen St., featuring over 100 global and local artisans showcasing handmade goods in a celebration of peace, social justice and ecological awareness. Mingle with over 12,000 shoppers and connect with vendors to make your holiday shopping special and meaningful. Admission is free.
