Invest: Dallas/Fort Worth Launch Conference to highlight smart growth and healthcare and education pillars

2 min read January 2024 —  Cementing Dallas/Fort Worth’s position as a national leader and working together for continued growth will be central themes at the official Invest: Dallas/Fort Worth Launch Conference. The event, which will take place on Feb. 8th from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at The Gilley’s, will celebrate the official release of Capital Analytics’ second edition of Invest: Dallas/Fort Worth.

During the launch of Invest: Dallas/Fort Worth 2023-2024, local industry and community leaders will come together to discuss the region’s business climate, how they are leveraging its inherent economic strengths to ensure long-term prosperity for all and what the future may look like. The event will feature three panel discussions that will center on the impact of technology on the business community, the collaboration of healthcare and education, and the growth and development of the Metroplex. 

“We are looking forward to celebrating the release of our second edition of Invest: Dallas/Fort Worth to showcase the leaders adding to the region’s long-standing reputation for community and collaboration,” Capital Analytics’ president and CEO Abby Melone said. “Few companies deliver the in-depth business analysis we do for the markets we cover, including Dallas/Fort Worth. Check-in at the conference will begin at 8 a.m. with a breakfast networking hour. The opening remarks will begin at 9 a.m by Melone, followed by three robust panel discussions.

The first panel, ‘Innovation & Ingenuity: How banking, professional services and tech are adapting to the present to prepare for the future’ will feature Tad McIntosh, president of HumCap as moderator, with Chris Clark, partner at FORVIS; Matthew Muns, president of Argano Strategic Industry Group; Jeff Sinnott, CEO of Vantage Bank Texas; and Buffey Klein, office managing partner at Husch Blackwell, LLP as panelists.

The second panel, ‘Closing the Gap: How educators and healthcare professionals collaborate to improve healthcare outcomes, the talent gap, and workforce wellbeing’ will be moderated by Steve Miff, president & CEO of Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation (PCCI), and includes speakers such as Marilyn Wiley, dean of the UNT G. Brint Ryan College of Business; Rose Johnson, administrative director of academic partnerships and nurse leader development at

Medical City Healthcare; Dionel Waters, area superintendent of IDEA Public Schools; and Rodgers Wilson, national medical executive for behavioral health at Evernorth, Cigna Healthcare. 

The final panel, ‘Synergies in Real Estate & Construction: How North Texas can leverage ongoing growth and the factors influencing demand moving forward’ will be moderated by Melone and will feature panelists Phill Geheb, senior vice president at Matthews Southwest; Brian Luallen, CEO of Fair Park Dallas; Richard Myers, founder and managing director of Realty Capital; and Juan Rodriguez, SVP and commercial market sector leader at McCownGordon.
