Juan Quiroga, President & CEO, JCQ Services
April 2026 — In an interview with Invest:, Juan Quiroga, president and CEO of JCQ Services, reflected on a year defined by major milestones, including the successful delivery of 365 cabins in 365 days. “We’re built to speed, and always willing, able, and ready,” he told Invest, emphasizing how innovation, integrated delivery, and long-term regional planning continue to shape the company’s approach.
What have been some of the major milestones and changes that have most influenced JCQ Services over the past year?
Over the past year, JCQ reached a major milestone with the successful completion of 365 modular cabins in 365 days for Disney’s Wilderness project, a defining accomplishment delivered despite two hurricanes. JCQ was also selected as the general contractor for a 2,880-room hotel renovation here in Central Florida, which significantly expanded our presence in the hospitality and construction sectors. These high-visibility projects strengthened our reputation for handling complex, fast-paced assignments and reinforced the market’s demand for reliability, innovation, and integrated delivery.
As our company continues to grow, we’re using these milestones to attract top-tier clients and high-skilled talent who want to be part of a company defined by growth, teamwork, and opportunity. We’re basically built to speed, and always willing, able, and ready.
What is your outlook for the construction industry in Greater Orlando, and what developments do you see shaping the region most?
For us, the significant milestones are not only construction-related; they also include meaningful contributions to the broader Central Florida community. This year, we served as the presenting sponsor of the Orlando Economic Partnership’s Economic Development Committee, a core driver of the Vision 2045 strategy. The work of this committee brings together public and private sector leaders to align efforts around infrastructure, talent, innovation, and competitiveness.
By supporting this effort, JCQ is helping influence the policies and priorities that will guide the region’s long-term economic trajectory. We believe that building a strong community goes beyond job sites and project timelines; it requires investing in the systems, partnerships, and vision that ensure Central Florida remains a world-class place to live, work, and grow.
How has the trend of expanding logistics and warehousing evolved in 2025, and what other sectors do you see continuing to grow?
We’ve experienced accelerated growth while navigating industry-wide pressures, including supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, and rising expectations for turnkey, fast delivery. Our vertically integrated model, which unites construction, warehousing, logistics, and self-performed scopes, allows us to respond with agility, tighter budget control, and real-time coordination. This model continues to differentiate us in a competitive market, attracting clients who value dependable performance and employees who want an environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
Beyond industrial, we’re still seeing strong movement across commercial, hospitality, and residential markets, all of which are driving new opportunities for our team.
How has the rise in demand for commercial, hospitality, and residential projects reshaped opportunities for JCQ and the broader sector?
To support the rising demand and complexity across these sectors, we’re proactively exploring artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to strengthen our integrated delivery model. As client expectations continue to grow, technology plays a major role in enhancing operational efficiency and improving coordination across construction, warehousing, and logistics.
We’re working on developing our own software, embedding AI and intelligence into our processes. By investing in innovation, we’re streamlining workflows, optimizing resource utilization, and accelerating decision-making, all while upholding the high-quality standards our clients expect. This strategy supports our long-term vision of scaling sustainably, adapting quickly to market demands, and empowering our team to focus on high-value work.
How are you approaching talent development amid rapid changes in innovation and technology?
We firmly believe that AI is not going to replace people; it’s only going to replace people who don’t use AI. People still need to think, problem-solve, and feed AI the information it needs to be effective. Our focus is on empowering our team with the tools and training to innovate, work more efficiently, and grow professionally. Supporting talent in this way ensures that technology enhances their capabilities rather than competing with them.
What economic pressures or challenges are having the greatest impact on construction timelines and budgets today?
One of our ongoing challenges is expanding into new industry segments while ensuring our team remains focused on delivering excellence in our core services. As demand grows across multiple markets, maintaining operational clarity and disciplined execution becomes essential. While we aim to broaden our reach, we must also stay aligned with the core business that has defined our success.
Have you noticed any shifts in zoning, permitting, or regulatory discussions that are influencing the construction environment?
The Political climate always plays a role, but we still expect strong growth across construction, warehousing and logistics, even with regulatory changes. Central Florida’s continued infrastructure expansion and the post-COVID resurgence of the hospitality sector remain powerful drivers.
At the same time, we’re paying close attention to broader economic headwinds and labor market dynamics. That’s why we focus heavily on investing in our people, enhancing operational efficiency through technology, and staying adaptable as conditions evolve.
What progress has been made in advancing affordable housing, and how is JCQ contributing to this segment?
We’re leveraging innovation and technology to help reduce costs and bring new solutions to the affordable housing challenge. Several projects are in the design phase, allowing us to demonstrate more efficient and effective ways to build quality, attainable homes.
We’ve formed a dedicated design team focused on this work. While some initiatives still remain under non-disclosure agreements, we’re seeing strong momentum and expect to play a meaningful role in advancing affordable housing across the region.
JCQ has scaled its prefabrication capacity significantly. What role is prefabrication playing in meeting regional demand?
The 365 cabins in 365 days Disney project taught us valuable lessons about innovation and approaching construction through a manufacturing lense. We’ve mastered panelized construction, building walls complete with MEP systems that assemble on-site like a kit. This method increases efficiency, improves predictability, and and reduces cost. It also positions us strongly to meet regional demand across a range of project types.
Looking ahead three to five years, where do you see your main priorities aligning with the sector, and how do new partnerships fit into your strategy?
We’re consistently focused on expanding our customer base and pursuing new opportunities. Over the next three to five years, our priorities include strengthening our presence through increased networking, marketing and targeted business development efforts.
While we deeply value the long-standing relationships we’ve built over the decades, recent industry headwinds underscore the need to diversify. Our strategy remains centered on being dynamic, customer-focused, and delivering the trust and performance that lead to long-term partnerships.
