2 min read November 2023 — This year’s Thanksgiving is shaping up to be a busy one, as nearly half of all Americans are planning to travel for the holiday season, according to Deloitte. In Palm Beach County, residents and visitors can find plenty of Thanksgiving festivities to celebrate the holiday. Invest: explores some of the Turkey Day events happening throughout the county.
Turkey Trot
The Town of Palm Beach’s 15th annual Turkey Trot will be held on Nov. 23, Thanksgiving Day at Bradley Park. Starting at 7 a.m, there will be a Kids Drumstick Dash for those who would like to race. Then at 7:30 a.m. the 5k race begins, which will go through landmarked North County Road Tree Canopy and end at the Lake Trail. Trophies will be awarded to the top two male and females for different age divisions. Proceeds from the race will go to local nonprofits to help provide meals for families on Thanksgiving.

Run 4 The Pies
On Thanksgiving Day in Tequesta, the 23rd annual Run 4 The Pies will take place. There will be a 4-mile run and a 1-mile run for kids ages 8-12. This run has been a part of the Tequesta community since 2000. The race begins at 8 a.m. and proceeds will help the Good Shepherd Food Pantry.

Thanksgiving Dinner and Dance
On Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. at Dance Flow Boca Raton, there will be a lively dinner and dance party. Plenty of delicious food will be available, followed by a dance show featuring performances from Dance Flow instructors and students. There is a dance floor for all to jump and and dance the night away. The dress code is cocktail attire and tickets start at $85 per person.

Thanksgiving Dinner at the Hilton Palm Beach Airport
A lovely Thanksgiving dinner will be held at the Hilton Palm Beach Airport. The hotel provides an elegant atmosphere for a lovely holiday evening. On the menu is roasted turkey, brown sugar ham, peach cobbler and much more. Tickets are $68 for adults and $34 for kids.
