May 2024 — Minneapolis and St. Paul thrive in the summertime thanks in large part to their vibrant mix of cultural assets, parks, and lakes. The tourism, arts, and culture sectors contributed over $25 billion in 2022 to Minnesota’s economy, according to data compiled by the Arts Action Fund and Tourism Economics. Much of that economic activity comes between now and September as the warmer temperatures bring out big plans.
Below are 10 renowned regional assets in the Twin Cities that makes the area a welcomed reprieve from the scorching heat in the southern parts of the country.
The Guthrie Theater
