2 min read August 2023 — Alamo City is still being blasted by heat, recently breaking the record for the number of continuous days over 100 degrees at 58. According to accuweather, there won’t be a break until early next week when temperatures are anticipated to at least get back down to double digits. Residents are sweltering, with new arrivals wondering what they got themselves into and even the most seasoned San Antonians impatiently waiting for cooler afternoons.

The current heat wave makes the fact that fall is right around the corner even more mind boggling. But, it is rumored that Starbucks is set to drop their seasonal menu Thursday, and for many, the return of the pumpkin spiced latte is the official start to autumn no matter what the temperature is outside. In honor of the not-so-changing season, Invest: took a look at some of the best ways to enjoy the fall in San Antonio.

Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival

The annual festival started in New Braunfels in 1961 and is one of the Hill Country town’s biggest events, attracting thousands of visitors. Eat well, have a beer and learn how to chicken dance at this year’s Wurstfest, being held from Nov. 3-12.
